About the evening
We opened 2017 with Straight Up & Toasted at The Carnegie Club. Guests chose a Rockafeller cigar in Maduro, Habano or Connecticut and paired it with The Balvenie 12 Year DoubleWood and 14 Year Caribbean Cask, while Christi Gehrisch sang music of the ’20s, ’30s and ’40s.
Rockafeller’s Nicaraguan blends come from the American Caribbean Cigars factory. The Caribbean Cask spends 14 years in oak before a finish in casks that once held Caribbean rum.
