On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, Fine Tobacco Club hosted Straight Up & Toasted Cigar and Spirits Pairing at The Carnegie Club in Midtown.
The evening featured live jazz and two hand-selected cognacs.
About the evening
The Stan Rubin Quartet played jazz while guests paired the La Hoja Edición Crema 1962 with two cognacs from CAMUS: VSOP Elegance and VSOP Borderies.
The Edición Crema, an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, brought baking spice, chocolate, cedar, cream and coffee. The VSOP Elegance offered mellow, fruity aromas with delicate wood, and the Borderies a lively, floral and mineral character.
