Ha, Saw the Gold Cigar Page… Really $500 for one cigar… insane! Wish it was more like $50… cause it would be pretty cool looking!

I’d like to add my perspective on Myth #1: Another reason ‘Cuban’ cigars are perceived as ‘the best’ is due in large part to decades of marketing from almost every other cigar manufacturer around the world. Listen to, or read their advertising and promotional claims that typically include phrases like: “Cuban Style” or “Cuban Seed” or “as good as Cuban” or “made by former Cuban family” or they consistently refer to the Cuban legacy. Cuba, Cuba, Cuba . . . so, what’s a cigar enthusiast going to think? Well, with all these references to Cuban cigars; “they must be the best” . . . and therefore “I’d like to smoke one!” Not so much that they are forbidden (by the Cuban Embargo), Cuban cigars are subliminally promoted by the whole cigar industry! YES, some Cuban cigars are great and some are just good. But, as the author pointed out, they are certainly not for everyone’s palate.
