On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Fine Tobacco Club hosted Straight Up & Toasted at The Carnegie Club in Midtown.
The evening featured two Karen Berger cigars with Basil Hayden and Knob Creek.
About the evening
We moved back indoors at The Carnegie Club with two cigars from Karen Berger. She started as a roller at 18 and now owns both her farm and factory in Estelí, one of very few women in Nicaragua to do so.
The K-Fire is a full-bodied, box-pressed San Andrés toro with espresso, cocoa and building pepper. The Ixtelli, her first all-Nicaraguan puro, moves from white pepper to tangy fruit and dark chocolate. Basil Hayden and Knob Creek poured alongside, to live jazz.
