On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, Fine Tobacco Club hosted Smoker Social: The Return of Merchants Cigar Bar at Merchants Cigar Bar on the Upper East Side.
About the evening
Our first event at Merchants Cigar Bar since 2015 came after the bar’s full remodel, and we had the whole venue to ourselves. Guests paired the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Maestro, Cigar Aficionado’s #1 cigar of 2019, with Woodinville Straight Bourbon and Woodinville 100% Rye, presented by New York brand ambassador Joe Polizzi.
The 96-rated Maestro, a Nicaraguan puro of Cuban-seed tobacco, brought white pepper, nuts, earth and espresso with a rich sweetness throughout.
