The evening featured Plasencia Cigars and The Balvenie Scotch.
About the evening
May’s Straight Up & Toasted paired a limited edition cigar from the Plasencia family with two single malts from The Balvenie, including the 12 Year Single Barrel First Fill, to live jazz.
We had hosted the New York launch of the Plasencia Alma Fuerte, later Cigar Snob’s #1 cigar of 2017. The Plasencias grow about 3,000 acres of tobacco across Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica and Panama, and their factories produce more than 35 million cigars a year.
