That is wild. So cool you have access to those spirits let alone have the opportunity to rate them. I love this site.

I wish I had such a refined palate as you guys as you seem to really know your stuff. Great article that helps to show that price doesn’t always mean it will be the best. Thank you for your information and descriptions of the Pappy and if you ever need some help please get in touch.

That sounded like a great time. I need to find me friends that will open up hundreds of dollars worth of delicious spirits like that. Great article! Will look forward to more in the future.

Thanks for the wonderful comments. It’s a tough job but someone has to do it. As for as having a “refined palate” I will just say practice makes prefect and I love to practice. Keep on tasting and you’ll see what you enjoy as well as new flavors you may pick up. Also attended a wine or spirits seminar in your area as they provide some wonderful insight on how spirits are made and how styles affect flavor. Keep checking the site for more great news and I will be posting future tastings as well as spirit highlights. Enjoy!

Just read your article and I completely agree that the Pappy 20yr. old is the “Sweet Spot” for this bourbon. There is a lot of complexity in that bottle and I too feel the 23 years of aging overpowers it. Your piece was very well written and I look forward to reading more. -Charlie D.
